Police, hunter arrest suspected kidnappers in Bauchi
Bauchi State police in collaboration with
the renowned hunter Ali Kwara have
arrested some suspected kidnappers.
According to a statement by the
spokesperson of Bauchi State police
command, DSP Haruna Mohammed said
that the arrest was carried out at Nasaru
Town in Ningi council area of Bauchi
State following an intelligence report.
He added that the suspects concealed
their identities and threatened to kidnap
and kill their biological father,
Muhammadu Shanono of Zaziga Village,
Nasaru Town in Ningi LGA.
They allegedly threatened to kill him if he
refused to pay a ransom of N1,000,000.
"As a result, the father sold his Cows and
gave them a part payment of N500,000
cash without knowing that his children
were behind the act.”
The suspects arrested are: Adamu Jao
Muhammadu, Ibrahim Ruwa Shuaibu
Chindo , all from Zaziga Village, Ningi LGA.
N510,000 and three mobile phones were
recovered from the suspects.
DSP Haruna said that the case is under
investigation after which the suspects
would be charged to Court for
prosecution.
The Command therefore urged members
of the general public to provide useful
information that may assist the Police in
providing safety and security in the State.
