Be patient with Buhari, Wamakko tells Nigerians
The Senator representing Sokoto Central, Alhaji
Aliyu Wamakko, says Nigerians need to be more
patient and prayerful as there is still hope for the
country.
Wamakko, who noted that President
Muhammadu Buhari has good plans for
Nigerians, urged them to have faith in the ability
of his administration to turn the nation’s
fortunes around.
He was speaking yesterday at the inauguration of
campaigns of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
for the March 12 local government election in
Sokoto.
He urged patience with the present
administration which he noted had not been
relenting in its effort to ensure a better Nigeria.
“The federal and Sokoto State governments have
good intentions to revamp the agriculture and
solid minerals sectors, among others,” he said.
Senator Wamakko commended the incumbent
governor of the state, Aminu Tambuwal, for his
initiatives in the state, adding that he has the
interest of the people at heart.
In his remarks, Tambuwal listed education,
health, agriculture , youths and women
empowerment as the top focus of his
administration.
He reiterated his earlier pledge to sustain all the
legacies inherited from the past government and
initiate new meaningful programmes and policies.
The governor expressed optimism that the APC
would emerge victorious in all the 23 local
government areas.
